Chandler Bikeway
Straight as an arrow

Kind of straight and, frankly, boring – but it does extend the Orange Line all the way into Burbank, plus you’re right near the Metro.

Some Riders’ Comments:

»» The Orange line path ends at Chandler. You continue east on Chandler via the bike lane until you get to Vineland (Chandler will “shift” north by a hundred or so yards at Vineland). Once you get back on Chandler, there will be a segregated bike/ walking/ skating path that will take you east almost to Victory.

L A River

»» The bikeway lies between the two sides of the street and is scenic and well maintained. Not particularly challenging as a ride, the major downside is that it is quite popular at times and may be crowded with other bikers, bladers, and walkers. There are also several street crossings that one will likely have to wait on.

»» For a very long ride, you can start at the Canoga end of the Orange Line trail, take the bike lane along Chandler to the Chandler bike path. The path will end about a block before Victory (Chandler ends at Victory). Go right (south) on Victory and continue on as it becomes Riverside. This will take you to the Griffith Park/Zoo area or you can get on the LA River bike path.

I’m not sure what you said, but this link does go to a bike video on Youtube, and it’s in LA, so there ya go.

My rough translation: Great bike path! A direct, car-free connection from Victory Blvd to the North Hollywood Metro station. From there you can bike straight through Los Angeles. First class — not even Muenster (city in northwest Germany) has such a path!
